At Edfords, the safety and well-being of our guests, staff, and alpacas are our top priorities. Please read the following Terms & Conditions and Safety Notices carefully before booking your experience. By participating, you agree to comply with these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.

BOOKING POLICY

 

Just a friendly reminder — each participant attending the alpaca experience will need their own individual ticket. 

 

Arrival and Punctuality - All sessions start promptly at the scheduled time. Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes before the booking time to allow for check-in and preparation. Late arrivals will not be permitted to join the walk once the session has started. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or rescheduling for late arrivals.

SAFETY POLICY FOR ALPACA WALKING
 

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the following safety rules apply:
 

• Age Requirement: All alpaca walkers must be 12 years or older. Younger participants are welcome to attend but will not be permitted to walk an alpaca, please consider a Meet & Greet Experience for those under 12 years.
   

• No Dogs Allowed: Dogs are not permitted on-site, including guide dogs, as their presence can distress the alpacas.
   

• Handling & Physical Requirements:

  • Each participant must use both hands to guide and control their alpaca safely.
     

  • The walking paths are uneven and can be muddy, requiring good balance and mobility.
     

  • If you have limited mobility, require a walking aid, or use a wheelchair, the Alpaca Walking Experience is not suitable. We recommend booking our Alpaca Meet & Greet Experience instead.
    
     

WEATHER POLICY

Our experiences run in all weather conditions, except when deemed unsafe (e.g., extreme storms, lightning, or severe icy conditions). If we need to cancel due to safety reasons, we will contact you to reschedule.
 

Guest Responsibilities:
 

• Dress appropriately for the weather to ensure your comfort and safety:

  • Cold/Wet Weather: Wellies, waterproof clothing, and warm layers are strongly recommended.
     

  • Hot/Sunny Weather: Sun hats, sun cream, and light, breathable clothing are advised.
     

• Footwear:

  • No sandals, flip-flops, or open-toed shoes—sturdy, closed-toe footwear is required for safety.
     

• No Umbrellas: For the safety of our alpacas and guests, umbrellas are not permitted during the experience.​
   

By booking and participating in an alpaca experience at Edfords, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply may result in non-participation without a refund. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us before your visit.​

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO CONSENT POLICY

​

At Edfords, we love capturing the special moments that our guests share with our alpacas! Our team regularly takes photos and videos during experiences to celebrate these memorable interactions. These images and videos may be used for promotional and marketing purposes across various platforms.

How Photos & Videos May Be Used

Images and videos taken by our staff or other guests may be used in the following ways:

​

• Social Media: Shared on our official accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
   

• Website & Online Content: Displayed on our website, blogs, and promotional pages.
   

• Marketing Materials: Featured in brochures, posters, advertisements, and other print or digital marketing.
   

• Press & Media: Occasionally used in news articles, features, or promotional campaigns.
   

Guest Photography & Video

Other guests may also take photos or videos during the experience. While we encourage everyone to be respectful, please note that Edfords is not responsible for images or videos captured by other participants and shared on their personal platforms.
 

Opting Out of Photos & Videos

We respect your privacy. If you do not wish to appear in any photos or videos taken by our staff for marketing purposes, please tick the NO CONSENT box on the booking form. Our team will do their best to ensure you are not included in any promotional content.
 

By participating in an experience at Edfords and not opting out, you consent to the potential use of your image in our promotional materials. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of staff before your experience.
